Farm To Work is not taking orders for MS right now. See below for details.
Due to freezing temperatures, Farm to Work will be on a small break while farms assess the fields and crops have time to bounce back. We hope to back in February 2018!
Meet your Farmer
Plant It Forward Farms
Plant It Forward offers economically disadvantaged refugees an opportunity to become self-sufficient through growing, harvesting and selling produce from a sustainable urban farm within the city of Houston. Each farm will have the potential to generate a fair wage for a family of four while providing premium brand sustainably-grown produce to Houstonians. Plant It Forward secures land, selects, trains, and mentors farmers and establishes each on their own urban farm to sell under the Plant It Forward brand.

Cooking and Gardening Classes at Sustainable Food Center!
Farm to Work is more than just getting fresh, local produce deliveries directly from farmers. It's about creating a culture of healthy eating around local produce, and part of that is learning how to eat and grow the food you receive each week in your Farm to Work Box.
For Farm to Work participants in the Austin area, Sustainable Food Center offers a variety of Grow Local gardening classes and The Happy Kitchen/La Cocina Alegre cooking classes. These classes will help you develop your green thumb to grow your own food and help you cook quick, healthy meals using local, seasonal produce - perfect for cooking up some produce from your Farm to Work Box!
